Newcastle boss has transfer funds
Newcastle boss Alan Pardew has revealed that there is still plenty of money left to spend on new players. Newcastle have already brought in Yohan Cabaye, Sylvain Marveux and Demba Ba this summer.
However, with the reported 4m GBP transfer of Kevin Nolan to West Ham, there is still some money left to spend.
Newcastle have been linked with a new goalkeeper, amongst other positions, and are believed to be weighing up a move for Manuel Almunia.
Pardew said: âWhen you sign somebody like Demba Ba or Sylvain Marveaux there are huge transfer fees involved in that.
âThis is, unfortunately, how the Premier League works and a lot of money from those deals does not come back through the system.
âIdeally, in the old days weâd sign somebody from the Championship and the money goes back into the English game.
âA lot of money goes out through agents and stuff like that.â
