Benfica bid for QPR keeper Julio Cesar
Benfica representatives have flown to London to discuss talks with Queens Park Rangers regarding a move for Brazilian goalkeeper Julio Cesar. The shot stopper has two years left on his contract.
The Portuguese club are looking for a new keeper to replace Jan Oblak, who joined Atletico Madrid as a replacement for Thibaut Courtois earlier in the summer.
Atleti coach Diego Simeone is ready to spend approximately 2 million euros to bring the 34-year-old former Inter Milan keeper to Spain.
The former Brazilian international is surplus to requirements at Harry Redknapp's side.
