Aston Villa ready Afobe bid
Premier League strugglers Aston Villa are expected to make a January bid for Wolverhampton Wanderers star Benik Afobe.
The 22-year-old has been in top form for the Wolves ever since his move away from Arsenal in January, and this has attracted interest from several Premier League clubs.
Afobe was the subject of interest from Newcastle United over the summer, but Wolves boss Kenny Jackett was reluctant to offload the star striker.
The Sun now claims that the Villains are ready to pay as much as £10m in the quest to bring the former Arsenal man to Villa Park in the New Year.
It is added that the Midlands side are ready to offer the player with a £50,000-a-week pay packet for the transfer.
Afobe has notched six goals in all competitions for his side this term.
