Saido Berahino signs for Stoke City
Saido Berahino has finally ended his association with West Bromwich Albion to join fellow Premier League club Stoke City. The young striker had been on the Potters radar since the previous transfer window.
The 23-year-old has inked a five-and-a-year half year with Mark Hughes' side after they agreed on a deal which could be worth £15m including add-ons.
Berahino has not featured in a Premier League game since September when the Baggies opted to send him to a conditioning camp in the South of France to maintain his fitness.
On his return, the club fail to find a breakthrough in contract negotiations (deal due to expire in June 2017), and this convinced them to offload his services as the last resort.
Berahino, who spent 13 years with his former employers, becomes the Potters' second recruit of the transfer window after Lee Grant's permanent signing from Derby County.
