Liverpool frontrunners to sign Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain
Liverpool are reportedly leading the race to secure the services of Arsenal contract rebel Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, The Sun claims.
The England international has enjoyed his best season in the Gunners shirt this term, but his future still remains in doubt after having stalled on a fresh extension.
Oxlade-Chamberlain currently has just 13 months left on his contract, and according to The Sun, the Reds are deemed favourites to prise him away from the Emirates.
Jurgen Klopp's side are keen to reinforce the central midfield department ahead of their Champions League challenge next season, and Oxlade-Chamberlain has been identified as an ideal fit owing to his recent league form.
The Ox is likely to be available for a fee of around £20m, should he decline contractual discussions with his present employers in the summer.
Oxlade-Chamberlain has provided 6 goals and 11 assists for Arsenal this season, but he remains a doubt for the FA Cup final against Chelsea on Saturday after having yet to recover from a hamstring niggle.
