Galatasaray eye move for Stoke City outcast
Stoke City midfielder Giannelli Imbula could be offered an escape route to Turkey this summer with Galatasaray seemingly keen on his signature.
The former France youth level largely failed to make an impact under Mark Hughes last season, and he is available at the right price in the summer transfer window.
According to The Stoke Sentinel, the Istanbul outfit are not keen on a straight cash deal for the midfielder, but will rather propose to take him on loan with a buy-option in his contract.
The Turkish club are willing to pay up to £15m to make the deal permanent next summer, and this would present a minor loss for the Potters, who spent a club-record £18.3m to lure Imbula from Porto in 2016.
Imbula was once linked with the likes of Arsenal and Chelsea, but his career has reached a standstill at the Bet365 Stadium where he failed to make a solitary league start in the second half of the season.
