Wolves on cusp of signing Adama Traore
Wolverhampton Wanderers are reportedly on the verge of signing Adama Traore from Middlesbrough after agreeing on a club-record fee for his services.
Earlier last month, Wolves failed with a £12m bid for the 22-year-old but they have now managed to come up with a renewed offer which has been accepted by Boro.
According to Sky Sports, the west Midlands outfit have agreed on a package worth £20m for the former Barcelona graduate despite him having a £18m release clause on his contract.
It is added that Wolves will play an initial fee of £10m for the attacker with the remaining half likely to be settled in the form of installments.
Traore was one of the standout performers for Boro during the 2017/18 campaign and he contributed five and 10 assists en route to their run to the playoffs.
He is expected to be the third high-profile exit from Middlesbrough this month with Ben Gibson and Patrick Bamford recently ending their association with the club.
