Chelsea boss provides fresh update on Courtois' position

Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri has stated that he is not concerned regarding the comments made by Thibaut Courtois' agent and he is prepared to speak with the goalkeeper in person.

Earlier this week, agent Christophe Henrotay asked the Blues to show some compassion and allow Courtois to return to Madrid where his children are presently resided.

However, speaking to reporters, Sarri has said that he is not interested in the agent's comments and he will prepared to speak to Courtois personally regarding the situation.

"I am not interested in the agent. I want to hear Courtois [and see] if Courtois, tomorrow [Monday], will say to me the same," he is quoted as saying by The Mirror.

Meanwhile, Sarri added that he would only prefer to work with players who are 'very motivated', thereby hinting that the club could entertain Courtois' exit before the transfer deadline.

Courtois has already entered the final year of his Chelsea deal and as things stand, he has shown no ambition to extend his contract with the FA Cup holders.
