Burnley capture Jay Rodriguez
Burnley have completed a deal to re-sign former striker Jay Rodriguez from West Bromwich Albion in a transfer package worth up to £10 million. The return to Burnley is an emotional return for Rodriguez, who previously began his career at the club.
Rodriguez will cost the Clarets a total of £10 million, with the initial fee exchanged believed to be in the region of £5 million. The forward moved to WBA in 2017 for a fee of £12 million and is Burnley's second transfer signing of the summer, having already completed a deal to bring Erik Pieters to the club from Stoke City.
Rodriguez has penned a two year contract at Burnley.
Burnley have flown to Portugal for their pre-season training and the 29-year-old is expected to be an important member of the Clarets' squad this season.
