Chelsea cool interest in signing English striker
Chelsea have cooled their interest in signing Brentford striker Ivan Toney and have started looking at alternative options.
The Blues were heavily linked with the 28-year-old at the start of the year and they were suggestions that they could make a bid.
However, there was no offer on the table and it is now claimed that the Blues are looking at different choices than Toney.
The Englishman had a brilliant start after his betting ban with four goals in five games, but he has since failed to score.
His lean patch has apparently reduced the interest in his services. Arsenal have also turned their attention to other targets.
Sporting's Viktor Gyokeres and RB Leipzig's Benjamin Sesko are the prime candidates for the Gunners at the current point.
Arsenal are looking for a younger profile of a striker which is reportedly the reason behind their attention away from Toney.
Toney could still end up at a bigger club. Manchester United are planning a surprise raid for his services during the summer.
