Chelsea board to continue with Mauricio Pochettino
Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino continues to have the support from the hierarchy despite the 5-0 Premier League rout at Arsenal.
The Blues were embarrassed at the Emirates Stadium last night. They lost by a 5-0 scoreline, but the margin of defeat could have been wider.
There have been calls from some fans to dismiss Pochettino, but most of the board continue to back the Argentine at the current point.
Pochettino has been operating under tough circumstances with several injuries and the owners will give him the benefit of doubt as of now.
His position could be reassessed during the summer depending on how the Blues end their current campaign. They are currently ninth in the table.
There is only a three-point gap to sixth-placed Newcastle United and there is still a chance that they could qualify for the Europa League next term.
Chelsea players have been given a day off today. They will return to training tomorrow in preparation for the Aston Villa game.
