Man Utd star could be fit for the FA Cup final

Manchester United defender Harry Maguire could be fit for the FA Cup final against Manchester City next weekend.

The England international has had an injury-plagued campaign with the Red Devils and he won't be involved against Brighton tomorrow.

However, the centre-back is pushing to make his comeback before the Wembley showdown against Pep Guardiola's side.

Maguire is unlikely to make the starting XI for the Manchester derby, but he could have a role to play off the bench in the game.

Meanwhile, Luke Shaw looks certain to miss out on the encounter, having suffered a setback in his recovery from a muscle issue.

In his absence, Diogo Dalot looks the likely candidate to start from the left-back position in the eagerly-anticipated FA Cup final.

United suffered a 2-1 defeat at the same stage of the competition to City last term and they will be aiming to avenge the result.

Unlike last season, United will go into the current final as massive underdogs due to their poor Premier League form.
