Arsenal favorites for Arshavin
Arsenal have emerged as early betting favorites to land the signature of talented Russian star Andrei Arshavin from UEFA Cup winners Zenit St. Petersburg this summer.
The Gunners have already signalled their intent to add a few top quality players this summer, with the acquisitions of Samir Nasri and Aaron Ramsey.
With the departure of Alexander Hleb seemingly on the horizon, Andrei Arshavin could be his direct replacement.
Now, several betting companies have slashed their odds on Arshavin making the move to the Gunners.
Sky Bet cut their odds to 5/4 from 7/2 in their 'Arshavin next club' market. Barcelona and Chelsea are their second and third favorites.
