Reports that Daniele de Rossi will be leaving Roma for a move to Man City have been rejected. According to reports last week, the Italy international midfielder was a top target for Roberto Mancini.

However, Roma's new owner has moved quickly to reject talk of a move elsewhere for his defensive midfield star.



"Daniele is a Roman and a Romanista 100 per cent, a great player, an international and a great figurehead for us," said the Roma owner Thomas di Benedetto.
