Mertesacker agrees terms with Arsenal

Arsenal have agreed terms with German defender Per Mertesacker who is set to sign a three year contract at the Emirates Stadium today.

According to reports, Arsenal have finally agreed terms with the Germany international; and he will join from Werder Bremen for 10m GBP on transfer deadline day.



Arsenal are believed to have made several offers in preparation for a busy day of transfer negotiations on Wednesday.



Merteacker has already completed his medical and will link up with his new team mates on Thursday.
