Santon completes Newcastle move

Newcastle have completed the signing of Italian full back Davide Santon. The move comes as a big surprise as Santon is widely regarded to be one of the best young defenders in Europe.

We understand that Newcastle have paid around 5m GBP for Santon.



Alan Pardew said after signing the Italian: "We are delighted to bring to Davide to Newcastle. He is a quality left-back and an established international who also gives us flexibility in defence. Davide is a young lad and a great signing for us and I am sure he will adapt to the Premier League very quickly."
