Raul Meireles completes 12m Chelsea move

Raul Meireles has completed his 12m GBP move from Liverpool to Chelsea last night, with the deal being agreed at the very last minute on Wednesday.

Meireles had been linked with a move to Chelsea for over a month; but Liverpool had rejected three offers for the Portuguese international.



At the death on transfer deadline day, a deal has been completed for a fee of 12m GBP.



Liverpool signed Meireles last season for 11m but the signings of Charlie Adam and Jordan Henderson made Meireles' first team opportunities very limited.
