Sunderland complete Bendtner deal

01 September 2011 - 00:24

Sunderland have signed Nicklas Bendtner on loan until the end of the season. The Danish striker had been looking for a move away from the Emirates, but Arsenal received no suitable offers for the striker.

  • Bendtner joins Sunderland until the end of the season, and the Black Cats will pay his salary for the duration of the loan, and in addition, a nominal fee for the striker.

The move comes somewhat of a surprise, as Bendtner and Steve Bruce are believed to have a frosty relationship after Bendtner's breakup with Bruce's daughter three years ago.
