Liverpool midfielder Joe Cole has admitted feeling hurt after being frozen out of first-team plans for the Reds last season.
Joe Cole sensationally joined Lille on loan this week.
"I am a winner. It did not work at Liverpool for many reasons and it hurt me," said Cole.
"I am here to bring success to Lille. I know some players like Hazard, (Moussa) Sow and (Benoit) Pedretti. Unfortunately, English television does not show a lot of French football.
"I liked the challenge (proposed by Lille), I like the continental football and it's exciting for me. I love challenges. It's a different playing style and I hope that people in England will watch me play and get more interested in French football!"
