Arsenal insist Wenger is staying put

Arsenal insist Wenger is staying put

07 September 2011 - 08:32

Arsenal chairman Peter Hill-Wood insists Arsene Wenger's job is safe. There are some sections of the Arsenal support who are losing patience with Wenger, but the board retains faith in the Frenchman.

  • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
  • Arsenal suffer big injury blow ahead of Fulham game
  • Arsenal's terrible start to the year has seen the Gunners spend around 28m GBP on transfer deadline day bringing in fresh faces.

However, Arsene Wenger had already been under pressure prior to the transfer deadline day deals.

"It's complete and utter rubbish and absolute nonsense. I think he is happy enough and we are happy enough," Hill-Wood told the Daily Star.

It appears, for now, Wenger is still the number one choice for Arsenal.
