Arsenal could keep Benayoun

Arsenal could keep Benayoun

16 September 2011 - 07:48

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has admitted that a move for Yossi Benayoun on a permanent basis could be possible. Benayoun has joined from Chelsea on loan for the season.

  • Chelsea planning shock move for Man City winger?
  • Arsenal handed injury boost on defender ahead of Bournemouth clash

  • The Israeli international has only played in two games so far, but there is a chance a permanent move could take place at the end of the season.

"It's too early to say at the moment, but I don't rule it out," said Wenger.

"I want him to contribute as much as he can to the rest of the squad like every other player - not more, not less.

"Benayoun gives his best every time he plays and we think he can integrate well. He can play on both flanks. He can play in the middle, although I think he prefers to play on the wing.

"Overall he has shown on Tuesday night that he is completely physically fit again."
