Newcastle's in form goalkeeper Tim Krul is a reported target for Premier League rivals Tottenham. According to reports, Harry Redknapp is on the lookout for replacements for Brad Friedel; who is expected to retire at the end of the season.
Spurs also currently have Carlo Cudicini as their number 2 keeper, but the Italian will never threaten for a first team place. Heurelho Gomes is also expected to leave White Hart Lane this month.
It appears that Spurs have whittled down their goalkeeper shortlist to just two names, with Borussia Monchengladbach goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen and Newcastle shot stopper Tim Krul the two names Redknapp wants to replace Friedel.
Newcastle are not interested in a sale, and the Dutch goalkeeper is apparently not for sale at any price.
