Hodgson confirms England job interest

Hodgson confirms England job interest

25 March 2012 - 08:43

West Brom boss Roy Hodgson today admitted that he would love to take the vacant England manager's job. Hodgson is amongst the names linked with the role, and is currently the second favourite after Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp.

  • Predicted Chelsea line-up (4-2-3-1) vs Aston Villa, Palmer starts
  • Chelsea suffer double injury blow ahead of Villa trip

  • When asked yesterday if Hodgson would accept a job offer from the FA, Hodgson responded: "Of course - I think that anyone would. I don't know that it is an ambition as such. It would be an honour of course if ever the offer came my way, because it's the pinnacle of success in a way and certainly of coaching success if you are ever invited to manage your own country."

Roy Hodgson has international experience after managing Switzerland in a major tournament, and is amongst the best managers in England after successful spells with Fulham and West Brom amongst other sides.
