Man City assistant Platt rules out Balotelli exit

29 January 2013 - 04:48

Contrary to reports that indicated Mario Balotelli will quit Manchester City for a return to his homeland with Milan, the Citizens' assistant manager David Platt has told a reporter that the forward will stay put.

  • Balotelli's career at Man City has reached the lowest point, and there had been reports of the striker already packing his belongings and shipping them to Italy. A high profile training ground bust up with manager Roberto Mancini seemed to suggest the striker's career at the club was coming to an end.

"I don't think anything is going to happen," said Platt.

"It's a shame the manager's not here. He might know more than me but as far as we are concerned I think he is still a Manchester City player."
