Pjanic To Discuss Roma Future

Pjanic To Discuss Roma Future

22 June 2013 - 14:58

Roma midfielder Miralem Pjanic has made his intentions clear to stay away from future talks until he returns from his holiday. Reports suggest that the midfielder is back on Barcelona’s radar but he refuses to comment.

  • Chelsea to move for former Arsenal goalkeeper?
  • Former Chelsea boss to replace Erik ten Hag at Man Utd?

  • The Bosnian has spent past two seasons with Giallorossi after leaving Olympique Lyonnais in 2011 but reports linking him with a club exit this summer have circulated recently. Pjanic – who is on a holiday in Greece-insists he will speak to Roma about his future in the coming days.

The 23-year-old in his statement said:

"I can`t wait to start the new season. I`m proud of what I`ve done [for Roma] and the understanding I developed with [Francesco] Totti, who is like a king”

About his future, the Bosnian reserved his comments:

"My future? I don`t want to talk about the club out of respect. I will go back to Rome to train and then we`ll see”

Pjanic’s agent, Michele Gerbino had earlier insisted his client was not looking at a club exit. Despite this, Miralem has been reported as a possible replacement for either Thiago Alcantara at Barcelona or Mario Gotze, who recently left Borussia Dortmund.
