24 June 2013 - 00:04

Arsenal look like they are finally be ready to offer manager Arsene Wenger a new contract. The Frenchman has just 15 months left on his existing contract with the club and has uncertainty meandering over his future with the North London side.

Paris Saint-Germain’s growing interest in the Frenchman has become an issue of worry as the Ligue 1 outfit have hired former French international Laurent Blanc as manager to replace the outgoing Carlo Ancelotti, who is set to join La Liga giants Real Madrid.

The French side have been linked to a host of names this summer for the manager posting, which include Tottenham boss Andre Villas-Boas, Swansea manager Michael Laudrup and Wenger himself, with the 63 year old being the top fan favourite for the job.

Wenger has been handed over a huge £70 million budget to spend on players this summer, which the club believe would help persuade the Frenchman to stay put for some more years to come.
