Tottenham's technical director Franco Baldini has been discussing a move for Ghana's international defender Daniel Opare with Spurs' manager Andre Villas-Boas. Opare is currently playing in Belgium for Standard Liege.
The versatile defender - who is comfortable playing at right back or left back - is one of a number of targets for Tottenham this summer. With a deal for Paulinho on the verge of completion, Baldini will now turn his attentions to defensive reinforcements and Opare is his preferred target.<br />
Opare, who has been capped 10 times by his country, is a former Real Madrid youth team player. He is being considered by Tottenham as competition for the likes of Kyle Naughton, Kyle Walker, Danny Rose, Steven Caulker and Benoit Assou-Ekotto, but the latter could be heading for a summer Spurs exit.
