Arsenal Make An Improved Bid For Higuain

04 July 2013 - 18:43

Arsenal are set to launch yet another club-record bid for Real Madrid star Gonzalo Higuain. According to Goal, the Gunners expect their new bid of €27 million for the striker to be enough to strike a deal.

  • Arsenal handed injury boost on defender ahead of Bournemouth clash
  • Chelsea planning shock move for Man City winger?

  • Higuain’s move to Arsenal has long been in the pipeline although Real’s demand of €30m for the player has proved to be a stumbling block in the deal. Arsene Wenger had earlier hoped to finalise this deal within €24.5m, which was not acceptable to Higuain’s present owners.

But as suggested by fresh reports from Goal, it is understood that Arsenal are set to sanction another bid of €27 million for the Argentine international. It is believed that both the clubs could come to an agreement, following this compromise figure.

Wenger looks to strengthen his attacking division ahead of the next season. He has targeted Gonzalo Higuain as his top priority for the summer acquisition and is willing to smash his club’s transfer record with a better margin this time.

Arsene Wenger has also shown firm interest in Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney, who looks set to disappoint David Moyes by leaving the club this summer. Wenger could place yet another ambitious bid, for the English star.
