Arsenal boss Wenger waits on Suarez transfer

Arsenal boss Wenger waits on Suarez transfer

07 August 2013 - 18:15

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has no new news to report regarding Luis Suarez's potential transfer from Liverpool to the Emirates. The Uruguayan international is reportedly ready to take his case to the courts to force a transfer to the Gunners.

  • Chelsea to move for former Arsenal goalkeeper?
  • Arsenal handed huge boost ahead of Bournemouth clash

  • The Gunners have already had a bid rejected for the forward but many still believe that Arsenal will complete a move for the player. Both Brendan Rodgers and club owner John W Henry have told reporters that they would like to keep Suarez.

However, that will not stop Arsenal from pushing for a move for the forward.

"I really don't know what will be decided by Liverpool," said Wenger.

"I don't know what has been said, what has been promised and what has been written. That is the story between Suarez and Liverpool.

"Only Suarez and Liverpool can decide that. It's nothing to do us. We have been told the player wants to leave Liverpool and that's why we've acted.

"We try and get what we want, if that doesn't work we will look somewhere else."
