Spurs brush Dinamo Tbilisi aside in Europa League tie

22 August 2013 - 22:32

Tottenham Hotspur produced a scintilating attacking performance to overcome Georgian side Dinamo Tbilisi by 5 unanswered goals in the away leg of their Europa League playoff tie.

  • Mikel Arteta insists 27yo star won't be leaving Arsenal
  • Omari Hutchinson wants to continue at Ipswich Town

  • Goals from Paulinho, Danny Rose, Andros Townsend and a brace from record signing Roberto Soldado, who continued to impress in his second outing for the club after scoring a penalty on his debut last week against Crystal Palace in the league opener.

Hugo Lloris had little to do all game, with Dinamo Tbilisi only mustering 9 shots all game with just 3 on target.

Real Madrid bound Gareth Bale wasn't in the match squad as he looks to complete a move to Los Merengues and was replaced by young winger Andros Townsend, who impressed as well as contributed a goal.
