Man Utd to reject Chelsea's third bid for Wayne Rooney

24 August 2013 - 12:52

Manchester United will reject any offer from Chelsea for forward Wayne Rooney. The England striker has been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge all summer having grown increasingly frustrated at playing second choice striker to Robin van Persie at Old Trafford.

  • However, a source has told eyefootball that Man Utd have no plans to sell the player, even if Chelsea up their offer to a reported 50 million GBP. The player himself is ready to discuss a transfer with Jose Mourinho's side, but he remains a very important part of David Moyes' plans for the new season.

One concern that David Moyes has is that if he sells Rooney, he will have no time to find a suitable replacement for the striker.

Meanwhile, United have made a renewed bid for Marouane Fellaini and Leighton Baines and are confident that they can wrap up a deal for both of Everton's players.
