Sunderland and Everton eye Ki Sung-Yueng loan deal

24 August 2013 - 13:43

Sunderland and Everton are amongst the teams considering a loan move for Swansea City's midfielder Ki Sung-Yueng. The South Korean international has slipped down the pecking order at for the Welsh club and will be allowed to leave on loan for the season.

  • Chelsea to move for former Arsenal goalkeeper?
  • Former Chelsea boss to replace Erik ten Hag at Man Utd?

  • With Sunderland manager Paolo Di Canio desperate to bring in even more new faces at the Stadium of Light; Swansea are ready to let the defensive midfielder leave on loan to play regular first team football. Last season the former Celtic midfielder chalked up 30 games for the Swans and appeared to quickly become one of the fans' favourite players. However, it appears manager Michael Laudrup has some different plans for the 24-year-old this season.

Everton manager Roberto Martinez is also awaiting news back in response to his enquiry for the player. The Toffees are also believed to be eager to sign the player on loan for the season.
