Pique is going nowhere

Pique is going nowhere

08 November 2007 - 23:46

Man Utd boss Sir Alex Ferguson has said that young starlet Gerard Pique will be going nowhere as he attempts to rebuff interest from Atletico Madrid and Real Zaragoza.

  • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
  • Arsenal suffer big injury blow ahead of Fulham game
  • The 20-year-old is surrounded by speculation about a possible loan move to the La Liga side in January. However, Ferguson has wiped out the suggestions.

"I am not surprised people are saying they are interested in him," Ferguson said in the Manchester Evening News.

"Zaragoza tried to buy him in the summer. They offered a lot of money for him. But no. The boy's future is here.

"I have no fears for him. The course we have set is a good one and there is absolutely no intention of letting him go."
