Everon on-loan midfielder Gareth Barry has claimed that he is ready to make his debut for the Merseyside club when they face Chelsea on Saturday, if he is given the opportunity by manager Roberto Martinez.
The 32-year-old English midfielder joined the Toffes on a season-long loan deal from Manchester City on transfer deadline day.
Despite not featuring in the opening weeks of the Premier League campaign, Gareth Barry feels he is fit enough to take part on Saturday.
He told the club's official website: "It's a fantastic first game to potentially be involved in but it's the manager's decision because I have not played loads of minutes at the moment.
"I feel fit. I haven't missed a day's training and I featured in bits and bobs of the pre-season games."
Everton are yet to post a win having drawn their first three matches of the season.
