Tottenham Hotspur are keen on acquiring the services of Aston Villa forward Christian Benteke during the upcoming January transfer window.

The North London outfit were associated with a switch for the Belgium striker during the summer, but the forward opted to sign a new contract extension with the Villans.<br />

According to The Daily Star, it is understood that Spurs, who spent over £100m on players following the sale of Gareth Bale to La Liga giants Real Madrid during the summer, will add the talented Belgian International to their ranks for a reported transfer fee of £28m<br />

Benteke has scored 5 goals for the Midlands outfit so far this season.
