  • Real Madrid midfielder Khedira had recently revealed of United's failed attempt to sign him during the closing stages of the summer transfer window for a fee rumoured to be around £34m.

Having seen Moyes send Phil Neville, who is a part of the coaching staff to watch the Germany international in Real Madrid's 7-3 win over Sevilla on Wednesday, a January bid for the player is considered likely to happen.

Manchester United have also been linked with AS Roma midfielder Miralem Pjanic.
