Arsenal has made an an enquiry for Real Madrid's Karim Benzema, ahead of a potential bid for the striker in January.

The Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is desperate to add another striker to his squad, after failing to add any notable competition for Olivier Giroud during the summer.



Giroud has been handling all the burden for the front for the Gunners this season, and reports in Spain suggest that Wenger could make a January transfer offer for Karim Benzema, who has been a long-term target for the North London club.<br /><br />Benzema could move to the Emirates during the New Year, if Los Blancos are successful in acquiring the services of Luis Suarez.<br />

A switch to the Gunners is considered the perfect option for the talented French striker, as the North London outfit are now seen as genuine Premier League contenders.
