Man City planning mega money bid for Sergio Ramos

Man City planning mega money bid for Sergio Ramos

17 November 2013 - 05:34

Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini is planning a huge offer for Real Madrid's star defender Sergio Ramos. The Spanish international is reportedly top of Pellegrini's January transfer wishlist.

  • Arsenal make surprise decision on Viktor Gyokeres
  • Arsenal to battle Napoli to sign Alexsandro Ribeiro?

  • According to a report from Spain, the 27-year-old is reportedly on the radar of Pellegrini now that City are ready to match his reported contract buyout clause of £41million. Ramos had wanted to sign a new contract with the club but it appears both parties have so far been unable to come to an agreement. Man City are now ready to line up a massive £9 million a year contract for the defender.

Sergio Ramos has been used by manager Carlo Ancelotti as a right back and on occasion as a holding midfielder, but Ramos is reportedly fuming that he is not able to play in his preferred central defence role. City have struggled so far to contain their leaky defence and recent performances away from home suggest Pellegrini will spend big in January. So far, Vincent Kompany is missing through injury and the arrival of Martin Demichelis has failed to impress many City fans. Thus a deal for centre back Ramos could be wrapped up sooner rather than later.
