Chelsea forward Samuel Eto'o heading to MLS next season

10 December 2013 - 06:17

Cameroon international striker Samuel Eto'o will complete a transfer from Chelsea to the USA at the end of this season. Once the World Cup is over, the Blues' striker is expected to quit the Premier League.

  • Chelsea expected to sell striker after loan deal
  • Arsenal defender misses training ahead of Man Utd game

  • Once one of the world's most feared strikers, Eto'o has struggled to adjust to life at Stamford Bridge and is fast heading for a move away from the club. Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has no plans to offer the player a fresh contract at the Bridge, and told Eto'o that he can consider a move elsewhere.

Amongst the teams all desperate to sign the player include the New York Red Bulls, who are dreaming of a partnership of Thierry Henry and Eto'o, whilst Toronto are also considering a transfer.
