Tottenham's 21-year-old attacking midfielder Erik Lamela could be set for a return to Italy, according to the player's father. Lamela joined Spurs from Roma last summer.
Erik Lamela has struggled to adapt to life since moving to White Hart Lane and is seemingly on the cusp of a return to Italy. The Argentinian has slipped down the pecking order at Spurs since Tim Sherwood has taken the manager's job.
“Erik is not happy and wants to go back to Italy,” Jose Lamela said.
“He has been linked with Lazio, but I don’t know anything about this. Could he re-join Roma? I don’t know.
“Tottenham does not want him to leave in January.”
