Everton eye Lyon duo

Premier League side Everton are eyeing a move for Olympique Lyonnais pair Bafetimbi Gomis and Gueida Fofana. Both players have been previously linked with fellow Premier League side Newcastle United.

  • Gomis, 28 is a striker, whereas Fofana, 22 is a defensive midfielder. Everton are short on striker options with Arouna Kone out injured, Nikica Jelavic sold to Hull City and Romelu Lukaku only on loan from Chelsea. Midfield is another area of concern with Gareth Barry also on loan from Manchester City.



    Gomis a French international and is out on contract in the summer and Lyon may accept an offer of around three million pounds, Fofana on the other had is contracted with the club till 2017 and would cost a little more.



    Gomis has played 18 league games this season with eight goals and Fofana has played 20 games for the club scoring one and assisting in one goal.
