Manchester United are reportedly preparing a £13m offer for Atletico Madrid defender Joao Miranda in the summer transfer window, according to the Daily Star.

The Red Devils manager David Moyes is keen on signing a top-class centre-back in the summer after club captain Nemanja Vidic revealed of his intention to leave the Premier League champions at the end of the season.



The Daily Star claims that Miranda is considered as a top transfer target for the Manchester outfit and has been tracked by the club's scouts in recent months.



Manchester United have also been linked with moves for Benfica's Ezequiel Garay and Porto’s Eliaquim Mangala in recent weeks.
