Chelsea prepare to offload star striker in the summer

Chelsea are reportedly keen on selling off star striker Fernando Torres in the summer, according to The Mirror.

  • Man Utd handed major injury boost for Liverpool game
  • Chelsea set asking price for Nicolas Jackson

  • The Spanish international has largely struggled at Stamford Bridge since move from Liverpool in January 2011 for a club-record fee of £50m.

The Mirror claims that Blues boss Jose Mourinho who had aimed criticism at the Spanish star in the wake of their Champions League defeat to Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday night, is now open to the sale of his player.

Inter Milan have shown interested in signing Torres on a temporary basis in the summer, but are unwilling to pay his wages in full.
