Real Madrid are reportedly set to allow the sale of French striker Karim Benzema, should a club match their £25m asking price for the player.

  • Arsenal suffer big injury blow ahead of Fulham game

  • The Metro reports that the Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is a huge admirer of the the former Lyon star, and will try to lure him to the Emirates with the prospect of regular first team football up for grabs.

However, it will be interesting to see whether the North London outfit would be able to cough up a fee of around £25m for the talented French international, given that the player would take time to settle with the club's tactical setup.

The Gunners have been forced to rely on Olivier Giroud for much of the season, with the likes of Nicklas Bendtner and Yaya Sanogo being used as back-up options.

The arrival of Benzema at the Emirates could go either way as he could have a perfect strike partnership with fellow countrymen Olivier Giroud.
