Arsenal to make £20m bid for Danny Welbeck?

Arsenal are reportedly preparing a summer offer worth £20m for Manchester United striker Danny Welbeck, according to The Mirror.

Welbeck had fallen down the pecking order under former boss David Moyes, and is now believed to be keen on a fresh challenge away from the Mancunian giants.

 

The Mirror claims that the Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is a bid admirer of the England international's talents and is ready to launch a bid for his services during the summer as he seeks a perfect strike partner for Olivier Giroud.

 

However, the Gunners will likely face a bidding war from North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur, who are also interested in the 23-year-old.

 

Welbeck has notched up 10 goals for the Red Devils in all competitions this season.
