Louis van Gaal pulls plug on Toni Kroos transfer

23 May 2014 - 00:07

Manchester United's newly appointed manager Louis van Gaal has reportedly ended the club's pursuit of Bayern Munich star midfielder Toni Kroos, according to The Mirror.

  • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
  • Arsenal suffer big injury blow ahead of Fulham game
  • The German international has been constantly linked with a summer switch to Old Trafford, with reports claiming that a deal had been agreed between the two parties for the transfer.

However, this does not look to be the case, and The Mirror claims that Van Gaal has pulled out of the deal for the talented midfielder, as he does not consider the player worth enough to play for the Red Devils.

The Red Devils have also shown interest in Roma's Kevin Strootman and Barcelona's Cesc Fabregas in recent weeks.
