Spanish giants interested in Welbeck move

Danny Welbeck to Real Madrid?

12 July 2014 - 16:10

In an interesting turn of events, Real Madrid are reportedly considering a move for Manchester United striker Danny Welbeck as a possible replacement for either Alvaro Morata or Karim Benzema this season.

  • Arne Slot explains Alexis Mac Allister substitution

  • Real are reportedly going all out to sign Monaco star Radamel Falcao with suggestions that Benzema is attracting the interest of Premier League clubs with Liverpool being the front-runners

Also, another Colombian striker James Rodriguez has caught the eye of Ancelotti with the 23-year-old also keen on a switch to the Bernabeu.

If Monaco do let any of these prolific strikers leave Ligue 1, Benzema will not be interested in becoming a bench-warmer. So, Welbeck will come into play to replace the Frenchman.

Welbeck, scored nine goals in 25 Premier League appearances last term in a disappointing campaign for the Red Devils and also played a part for the England national side during the World Cup finals in Brazil.
