Loic Remy fails Liverpool medical

27 July 2014 - 14:33

Loic Remy's move to Liverpool is reportedly off after the striker failed a medical. The club have yet to confirm the news but Remy has travelled back to London where he will link up with QPR for pre-season training.

  • Chelsea ready to sell four home-grown players
  • Predicted Chelsea line-up (4-2-3-1) vs Aston Villa, Palmer starts

  • Remy had been linked with a move to Liverpool as a possible replacement for Luis Suarez and deals for Derrick Origi and Lazar Markovic have already been completed. However, Brendan Rodgers had hoped to add French international forward Remy to his squad for the new upcoming campaign.

However, after Remy failed a medical, Liverpool will now be seeking another forward amongst their other transfer targets and it is understood that Man Utd striker Javier Hernandez could now be the name at the top of their new short list.

Remy will now report back for duty at QPR on Monday morning.
