The Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is well aware of the fact that club-captain Thomas Vermaelen is seeking a summer exit from the Emirates.

It is understood that the Belgian international has decided to quit the Gunners this summer, as he would be unable break the central defensive partnership of Laurent Koscielny and Per Mertesacker during the upcoming campaign.

According to The Mirror, the North London club are ready to make a stunning move for Serbia international Subotic, who has had a couple of impressive seasons with Borussia Dortmund.
