Liverpool preparing short team deal for Samuel Eto\'o

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers wants to sign Cameroonian forward Samuel Eto'o on a short term loan deal. The player spent last campaign at Chelsea but was released by manager Jose Mourinho.

With Liverpool seeking a replacement for Luis Suarez and reportedly struggling to find a suitable player, it appears Rodgers is now ready to bid for former Barcelona star Eto'o.

The forward has been locked in talks with Dutch club Ajax Amsterdam but apparently the Eredivisie side are some way off of agreeing a fee with Eto'o.

Liverpool, on the other hand, have money to spend and after seeing a deal for Loic Remy fall through are now turning their attentions to other transfer targets.
